Right to Life Advocates Have a Place Here

Advocates of the right to life seek to create a society that cherishes and protects its most vulnerable members, ensuring that every person has the opportunity to fulfill their potential.

If you’re curious about or engaged in the Right to Life movement, pro-life or adoption, there’s plenty here we can share. We can be part of a growing chorus of voices amplifying the Word of God that calls abortion sin. The shedding of innocent blood is an abomination to the Lord. No one should be killed because they’re inconvenient. With abortion as our national sin performed some seventy-million times and pushed out onto the globe, a just God must judge us.
Yet as I said, my heart does truly break for those women who’ve ended babies’ lives. I don’t believe most women are gleefully “shouting out their abortions” as Oprah led the chorus. There’s grief, loss and perhaps a rape that went unreported as so many do. Or a doctor’s urging. Or a boyfriend or husband who threatens a pregnant woman with consequences for having a baby that makes her feel helpless.
Yet, we can and must pray for women who have had abortions, that God will heal their emotions, for mothers contemplating the termination of the lives of their pre-born babies. And, for the elderly and infirm with euthanasia forced upon them against their will in other countries. We can volunteer at crisis pregnancy centers. We can adopt. After all, God’s Word tells us to “Open your mouth for the speechless, In the cause of all those who are appointed to die” (Proverbs 31:8 NKJV).
I hope you’ll check out a few of my blogs and leave me some comments.
God bless you, Christine.
